After 4 played minutes U21 India got a freekick which was hit by Jaikirti Siddhu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elton Seay got free with Amahiyu Gain in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, Reynaud Courtois dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amahiyu Gain, 1-0. Amahiyu Gain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaud Courtois in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, U21 India's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaud Courtois came free, but Amahiyu Gain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, U21 Canada's Elton Seay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amahiyu Gain. Amahiyu Gain yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaud Courtois in the 27th minute of play forced U21 India's goalkeeper Amahiyu Gain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Amahiyu Gain successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Amahiyu Gain was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eustache Holman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 35 minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, U21 India's goalkeeper Amahiyu Gain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaud Courtois. 44 minutes into the game, Abhihita Bhosle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 India's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Canada the free kick. In the 44th minute, Abhihita Bhosle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, U21 Canada's Jeff Trotter got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elton Seay to make the kick off. After 54 minutes U21 India's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Herbert Rangel who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to U21 Canada's Eustache Holman getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 57th minute Orville Saucedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amahiyu Gain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augustin Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abhimani Dalvi, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. U21 India's Amahiyu Gain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orville Saucedo in the 63rd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Orville Saucedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amahiyu Gain was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After a rather tough play, U21 Canada's Shelby Greenwood got a free kick in the 74th minute. 83 minutes into the match, U21 India's goal looked a bit too open when Eustache Holman came free, but Amahiyu Gain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Orville Saucedo notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of U21 India's Amahiyu Gain. Amahiyu Gain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute, Orville Saucedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orville Saucedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amahiyu Gain having to interfere. Amahiyu Gain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaud Courtois, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. There was no doubt that U21 Canada were the better team. U21 Canada's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
