Aggresiveness as a player trait?

Badge image
Hello again, y'all,

In my match against the mighty Raging Ballhogs, I had three players ejected---all in the first half---with normal pressing. With this in mind, I have received 7 ejections over the past 4 league matches, shared between committed and normal pressing.

Now I'm starting to wonder: is there a trait or characteristic or statistic for a player's aggressiveness? Could it be my mentality on attack and defenders are getting caught off guard? Any ideas at all?

mmmm . you are not suffering alone here, there is a thread on MZ talk forum titled outrageous number of injuries/suspensions where folk have been posting the mounting problems they are having..
i dont think it has much to do with the mentality settings, i am not suffering from this at the moment, although i have had only one player suspended from the league at a time lately i suppose it could hit me too..
i watched the first 20 minutes of the game.. the guy who received x2 yellow cards, what is his tackling and experience like..is he lacking in any skill department or form..
i can remember having 3 players sent off in the old sim..
i am wondering if the straight red card is a new issue..
like the rule in real soccer is that if a striker going for goal is fouled by the last man then it is an instant red card..
you seemed to fall victim to this on two occasions in the game..
the problem also seems to stem from the fact that on a free kick the strikers are almost gaurenteed to receive the ball and have instant control..
the only thing i noticed on your formation was that your central defender is sat a little deeper than the other two..
maybe to try to resolve the last man issue set the three defenders in a line
or move the central guy a little forward instead of at the back alone..

I suggest you switched playing behavior to "Passive". Dont be afraid to use it. I use "Passive" gameplay with my youth squad. I had similar problems with lots of sent-offs per game and when I changed my gameplay style the problem was really decreased.

Note that Play Intelligence, according to Crew members, now play an important role in card receiving. The smartest your player is, the less chances to receive a red card.
