What's going on with the USA Transfer Market?
By nerve-ana - 06-11-2022 07:00
Am I seeing things, or is there literally 20+ pages of dormant teams selling all their players?

Cheating and multiple teams. That's what's going on. The hard part is tracking back who owns all these teams and linking them. The hardest part is getting people with influence to care about how serious the problem is and how out of control multi users are in in game.

To add further all of these accounts dumping 19yr olds on the transfer market were created on the same date or within a few days. This has recently been happening in the Australian transfer market too with 19yr old players all being dumped onto the transfer market. These accounts were all created on the same day and all the players from different teams were listed within minutes of eachother.
Someone from crew needs to be monitoring new users and using the data. Australia and USA both have around 30-40 active users. If 5 teams all join managerzone on the same day within hours of eachother that should ring alarm bells and be monitored. It's also likely these accounts aren't even from the USA as crew have ignored blocking VPNs still to this dateEdited: 06-11-2022 09:37

I've seen this happen before but not at this magnitude. In this case due to sure amount of accounts and the persistance, I suspect it's a very well known Argentinian MU that has 100s of accounts around the world and even has a few RA accounts and I suspect at least one GA account, one of his RA accounts even writes for the USA Zone, I feel he's trying to get back at me for something....
Not the first time he does something like this, he managed to single handledly destroy a user in Scottish Hockey and in the process he controlled 99% of the hockey teams.

It seems like we'll have a market larger than Argentina at this rate, hopefully someone will do something.

I figured so, and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if this entire game was not filled with cheaters like this. Especially top teams, I've seen it so many times already. Reported some top clubs and Support did not do anything.
It's a damn shame what this game has become.

Just an FYI- I've brought it up in the admin forum but still yet to get a response.

Not surprised, the lack of moderation in this game has been so bad. Cheaters like this go by the way side all the time, that's why top clubs stay top clubs. If you got the time and VPN you can do this shit all day everyday.

I did receive a response from crew saying they are evaluating the issue
-
Re: What's going on with the USA Transfer Market?

Evaluating is a bunch of bullshit. This game is now rigged and not fully controlled. Also not properly monetized. RIP MZ I think every paying user should re consider what they are doing.

Don't spend your money on this game, trust me. I work in the gaming industry it's time to let it die. Zero support zero new products, this is worse then EA with the FIFA Franchise.

Where I type "but I don't date to!!!" I meant "but I don't dare to!!!"
Regular users should have tools to correct their own posts btw....

Re: What's going on with the USA Transfer Market?
By chucky06 (NCA) - 13-11-2022 07:49
Crazy huh! Same thing is the Aussies transfer market now too. I myself will be bidding on them if they aren't removed because why should I be disadvantaged from someone else cheating?
Delete all these accounts already though! If you're not actively doing anything to catch the people making them at least ban the accounts that you know are multi. Beyond a joke with no care factor at all from crew. Integrity of a game is everything and if you don't take it seriously don't run the game, sell it and let someone who cares take over.
This is like the spam bomber situation all assistants banded together and prevents and crew were great with it. Now it's like the lights are off and nobody is home.Edited: 13-11-2022 07:50

I just went through my old messages regarding the spammer, this was sort of my final message to crew regarding this issue and how it was "solved", usernames kept out as to not infridge any rules.....
Hey,
You guys aware of the situation with
y*****o that crew is now allowing him to keep a cheat account h*****a
if he promises to stop spamming the forums? Could you guess how that
will go down with the GA we have assigned to that case who's
coincidentally our best & most active and motivated GA? Would you be
surprised if he starts slacking or end up quitting? Remember that I've
been insisting for years to use tools to detect VPNs and how many times I suggested we should close accounts created with VPNs that only login through VPN
and how multiple times I suggested we should start closing this type of
accounts and I'm being always branded as a pain in the ass, being miles
apart from your ideas or "not understanding the vision of the company"
for insisting on stuff like this? Well.... if anyone would have listened
to me, y******o wouldn't have all this accounts around the world he
now and he wouldn't be able to be in a position to blackmail the company
into allowing him to do whatever he please....... and we still have
f******h VPN accounts, we still have the Chinese
robot accounts and some I might not know about, let's just cross our
fingers and hope for the best which apparently is the prevailing tactic.
Sorry for the rant but I'm really upset because if anyone would have listened
to me, and you know I insisted & insisted and never quit insisting,
the company wouldn't be in a situation in which a user can effectively
blackmail the company into this.
Regards,
Adrian

Well.... and this is sort of the final message when crew decided my views are not compatible with their views....
"As you say the situation related to GAs is not satisfactory.I see that you do not agree with us. You have been disagreeing for ages.
I can’t but think that having the most experienced GMA in our team and the oldest xA not 100% agreeing with us is no more tollerabile and is part of the problem.
This said we will face this in pvt.
But you must think about this and make a decision. If you really don’t like the current CoC because you think is too much complex and bureaucratic then we won’t have a future together. I have said this so many times but I won’t say it once again for the good of both.
------------
So yep.... they decided the cheaters are not the problem, apparently the problem is putting too much effort into catching them.

And this is how crew deals with the problems....
But there's so much dirt you can hide under the rug until people starts noticing.....

Re: What's going on with the USA Transfer Market?
By darkline - 15-11-2022 13:16
Well they "solved" the problem by stopping some transfers, others were allowed to go through, hope they start working on preventing this problems as opposed of applying bandaids and pissing up honest users in the process. Honest users don't like to get a message like this....
This is from a guy that contacted me last time a batch of transfers were stopped because he didn't realize I'm not an assistant anymore and he's upset because he's been accused of doing something wrong. The message is in spanish but it literally says in big red letters that he received "An Official Warning" and the message will stay there in display for 2 weeks.
Had to explain to him that he didn't do anything wrong and the problem is not him, the problem is the game so please sort this out! Stop blaming innocent users for your own shortcomings!
Not the only one that contacted me, people that don't visit the forums still assume I'm an assistant as they always get a quick and prompt response from me but unfortunately can't help anymore.
In any case, another suggestion that will end up on deaf ears..... tone down the aggresive messages with the "official warning" and the red letters if you're going to stop transfers in which the user is not at fault.

I had a team prior to my current one for about two years, and today actually marks 15 years of this honest playing what have I received from this wonderful company for my continued support?
No upgrades, no better rewards, an out of control transfer market economy, cheaters, and the nail in the coffin a terrible sim.

Honest playing is not rewarded, everyone use your VPN's and do all you want.

Playing MZ has just been like second nature to me when I get on a computer, no doubt I am just used to logging in checking training, moving around tactics and that's it.
BUTTTT Power Challenge AB Linkhorst Peter and the other Swedish minions working there do not care about the user experience.
Look at the website, I feel like I am on the internet way back time machine when I login.
The graphics and art, the badges and bs they have in addition to, bro you can hire someone for $5 dollars to do better shit than they put out, what program are you guys using MSPaint in Windows XP?
This game is running on whats considered maintenance mode, where they give minimal fuck but try to make maximal $profit.
IF they had the slightest of skill and knowledge the upgrades and monetization tactics you can pull with this game shhhhhheh.
RIP MZ, since what 2010?

I just wish everyone manager came on to the forum and showed their anger and disappointment in what has happened to managerzone.
Passive leadership who like you said run the game on maintenance mode. All the best mangers have left. The best ever in my books of Hanz too because he had great ideas and wanted to evolve the game. Gradually he was shit out and silenced by the crew.
It's very totalitarian. Don't speak out about the games million problems or you will be condemed. You know what the better option is.... listen you your userbase! Come put and admit you don't care for the game anymore and there will be no more major updates. At least have some dignity and take accountability. Imagine other workplaces with this leadership. The company would go broke and nobody would ever work with them.

Re: What's going on with the USA Transfer Market?

This game if needed can be run by just 2 people, one admin and one web maintenance guy, what else do you need to keep the game running as it is? They don't care about MU's or cheaters as long as they pay.
Having 1 person with 5 accounts paying 5 memberships or 1 person paying 1 membership? And there is people that pay for multiple memberships, I know it because I had to deal with this multiple times and there are specific safeguards that prevent GAs from acting or fining one users when he owns multiple CM accounts.
chucky06 wrote:It's very totalitarian. Don't speak out about the games million problems or you will be condemed.
And well you and me know this too well, they have specific rules that prevent xA's from speaking, when I was xA I had to be extremely moderate with my opinions about the game, the SIM and what they could do better.... the funniest thing that happened to me is when I was actually defending crew on the spanish language forum (I also speak spanish) and this crew guy went to check what I wrote (he was checking on me for some reason?) and used google translator to understand what I said, I was using slang and the translator totally missed the point and this guy came threatening me about what I wrote.... and I was like "whatcha talkin bout"?
Anyway, back to the point, xA's which are the people that care more about the game can't talk about any issues with the game, if you do then you're shown the door.... like chuck said it's a very totalitarian way of running the game and they forget the admins are not paid employees, they don't get a salary or paid hours, they get a few tokens a month which are the equivalent of a Mc Donalds Menu so this are people that volunteer to help with running the game for free and they treat you like crap, is like crew in their minds believe they're doing you a favor and not the other way around.

I meant to say "What's better for crew? Having 1 person with 5 accounts paying 5 memberships or 1 person paying 1 membership?"
I would edit my post if I could, but crew don't trust simple users with such powerful tools that would allow them to edit their own posts and correct their typos, with great power comes great responsability and imagine the chaos and destuction having a tool to edit your own posts might cause.

Re: What's going on with the USA Transfer Market?

I 100% agree. The money is the important part. I think they probably do have only one or two guys running it to be quite honest. This game is based on a old engine, old HTML old everything.
I wonder how much they would sell it for. With 2,500 or so users online, they can't be generating that much profit. I think at most I would pay for the company would be 100,000USD

$100K is probably too low, you have to look at how long it will take you to recover your investment and how stable that income is and despite what people might think and crew's sob stories when they raised the price of the tokens, I'm sure they make a very nice profit, above $100K a year for sure and none of that money is invested back into the game so it's all pure profit.
Now let's analize the situation of the game first, let's assume that users that play an open cup are all CMs and compare for example how many people plays the endurance cup now and the previous years
Endurance Cup 83 (2022) - Total Teams: 5516
Endurance Cup 79 (2021) - Total Teams: 5718
Endurance Cup 75 (2020) - Total Teams: 5913
Endurance Cup 71 (2019) - Total Teams: 5610
Endurance Cup 67 (2018) - Total Teams: 6039
Endurance Cup 63 (2017) - Total Teams: 6122
So I can draw a few conclusions from this data, one is that they lost users this past 2 years and generally that's been the trend except from 2019 to 2020, still this game can be a stable source of income for the next few years with minimum work.
On the other hand, back in 2019 they implemented the new & improved scout system (that ended up messing the market) they saw that the number of active users raise from 2019 to 2020 so they though that they're on the right track and kept implementing dumb changes to the game like those events that give you accelerated training, etc (and ruined U18 competitions)... well, those events are good for crew because I'm sure people expend a lot of tokens so from crew's side is a nice moneymaker I guess.....
Anyway, the reason for the increase in numbers from 2019 to 2020 is because the scout system was new, finally something NEW on the game so for a while people were excited but not because this is a great idea as I'm sure crew thinks, is only because is new and users are just bored of playing the same old crappy game with bugs and all that changed very little since 2011!!!! We still have "golden goal" on cups which is something that has not been used in real football for 20 years!!
People needs change and what happened with the scout system is proof of it but unfortunately crew doesn't see it that way, crew is afraid to make any changes on the SIM because of failures of the past that lost them users, the problem with past implementations of the SIM is that the changes were too fast and too furious, tactics & skills needed for the players changed dramatically, they were changing the SIM every two seasons and on a game like this in which you need time to build a team that's a problem, what they need to do is run a beta SIM for as many seasons as it's needed to perfect it, implement the new SIM and don't touch it for a few years.... they can even send emails to all innactive users saying "Come and try our NEW improved SIM" or something like that, I'm positive they will win more users than what they might lose.
Or why don't crew just hire me to do the job? Maybe I should send the CV to Stillfront Front group and convince them how poor the crew of misfits they have running this game are 😀
Anyway, if they keep things as they're and don't take any risks, the game is just going to die a slow dead... losing in average 200 users a year, I suppose it can still be profitable for a few years more but if crew wants to save the game, now is the time to act.

I kinda should have created a different thread to talk about what's wrong with the game... we were talking about MU accounts and how crew don't care as long as they pay and I ended up talking about something else :)
