Promotions and relegations finalized!

04-07-2017 15:00 We have now finished the promotion and relegation tasks for the senior leagues. As part of this process we have also moved inactive teams to lower divisions and let active teams take their places. Head over to your league to check out your new opponents! As described in recent articles, promotions and relegations now work differently compared to how they have in previous seasons. In the past you have always known beforehand which league group you would end up in. But to avoid imbalances building up over time, we now shuffle all teams that are moving to a different division into random league groups. A seeding order based on league results from the current season is used as part of the algorithm, which means that the strongest new teams in a division can never end up in the same group. In the fully active part of the league, teams that stay in a division will continue in the same league groups as before. In the lower divisions however, we now shuffle all teams, which means that they are moved to new groups even though they weren't promoted or relegated.
