League of Federations halftime point-check

The second edition of the League of Federations has just passed the half-way mark and trends are emerging.

Here is our review of the competition so far!



Football


Leaders
The unstoppable ѕøѕ кᴀяяøйεяø vøѕ ? pressed the pedal to the floor from the word Go and looks to continue their outrageous tempo to the very end. The black trophy for 1st spot will surely go their way again, just like it did in LoF #1, the question isn't "will they be caught", the question is: will beat their own record of 3693 set during the first edition of the contest. Founder-President kk10 is relying heavily on two star performers in particular: ebouza and nanonieto have earned their Federation 1170 points, far more than any other Federation have mustered in total. Also worth mentioning, 61 of their members have contributed with points so far!

Behind the supreme leaders, 【FEDERACIÓN RIVER PLATE】 are almost as unrivalled in the hunt for the purple runner-up trophy. Federation President sebasto has done a good job of rallying his troops since LoF #1, where the Federation finished 6th and earned a yellow trophy. They are 247 points ahead of Nuevas Generaciones Argentinas, who in turn are looking like likely candidates for the orange 3rd place trophy, already 256 points ahead of the nearest chaser.

Hot spots
There is an interesting contest emerging around the 10th spot (for the yellow trophy) with 4 Federation within 12 points of each other. ★☆★FED★☆★XENEIZE★☆★ are in the driving seat at the moment, but that may quickly change.

MZ Sweden (142 points), FSEP - PALMEIRAS - 100 ANOS (141 points) and GALATASARAY Federasyonu (138 points) are locked in a three-way battle for the blue trophy awarded for top 20, while Alpen Fussball Bund should walk away with the red top 30 trophy, being 9 points clear of Assistant Federation in 31st.

19 points currently the boundary for the emerald Trophy
11 different Federations are currently hovering between 18 and 20 points. Managerzone Norge is one of six Federations currently occupying the 100th spot and need just one more to squeeze into the top 99 and earn an emerald trophy.


Hockey


Leaders
ZHL Maraton seems destined to pick up their second black trophy after winning LoF #1 with relative ease. 30 of their members have contributed with points so far, with ruffsig their main star after collecting 296 points to the Federation. Founder zlatan_zlatan and President mwickholm should be more than happy about how their Federation is performing. 181 points clear of the nearest chaser, they should defend their position to the end.

Los Magníficos in 2nd seems nailed on for the purple 2nd spot trophy. After finishing 8th last time around, Founder-President panagi is probably proud to see that the Federation already doubled the points-total of LoF #1, even though we're only half-way through. Timoteojr is the major performer here, having picked up 218 of the 356 points that the Federation has collected. KHL is in third spot, trailing by 95 points.

Hot Spots
The contest for the blue top 20 trophy catches the eye, with Spanish Ice Fighters currently occupying their spot after gaining 19 points. But there's a handful of Federations between 17 and 22 points that all would like to get their hands on the blue trophy, which should make for an interesting contest to the end.

With only 60 Federations having taken part in the Hockey LoF so far, so as things stand, all represented countries will receive a Trophy.

Important information


Tiebreakers
Federations that end up sharing the same final score will also share the same position, which nullifies the need for tiebreakers.

Remember: the deadline for joining a Federation League is Sunday the 19th at 22.00 CET. The final outcome of LoF #2 will depend on what happens in the Leagues on the 20th. So make sure that your Federation put in a strong finish.
