Today we have added some new insightful data to the Stadium page: Stadium Revenue Details. This information will help you get a better understanding of how your match revenue is distributed between the various ticket types and stadium facilities, along with utilization rates and weekly upkeep costs. This should give you the tools needed to be able to analyze and decide what the next step in your Stadium expansion plans should be, or whether you have overbuilt in an area where some demolishing might be in order.

How to read the information

The Stadium Revenue Details show a lot of useful information about your latest home League match such as:

Units: The amount of units of each type.
Capacity: The total number of visitors these units can accommodate.
Visitors: How many people actually visited these units.
Utilization: The percentage of capacity being used.
Revenue: How much revenue was generated.
Weekly Upkeep: The weekly maintenance cost of these units (keep in mind that this is a weekly cost and not a per match cost).

For example, the 30 Hotdog Stands in this example can accommodate 4500 people in total (150 each) during a match. During the latest home League match, 4080 people visited these Hotdog Stands, which means the utilization rate landed at 91% (4080 / 4500 = 0.91), and the sales generated 82824 SEK of revenue.

Analyzing the utilization rate

The key to optimize the Stadium Revenue is the utilization rate, which shows how much of the capacity was used. A low utilization rate generally means that you have too many units of a certain type while a utilization rate of 100% might indicate room for expansion.

In the image above, we can see that the utilization rate is 100% in many places. Looking at Hotdog Stands for example, we can see that they had a total of 450 visitors which is the same as the maximum capacity. Perhaps more spectators might have wanted a hotdog, but could not get one because the stands were full? Therefore, increasing the amount of Hotdog Stands might result in more paying customers, which would mean increased revenue.

In the image above, we can see that the utilization rate is around 80% across the board. Looking at Hotdog Stands again, we can see that they had a total of 2760 visitors, while the maximum capacity was 3300. This might indicate that we have more Hotdog Stands than necessary, since they were not fully utilized. You might want to leave some margin though, since not all League matches have the exact same number of spectators, while certain other matches, such as late-stage cup matches, might draw an even bigger crowd.

We urge you to firstly take a look at your Stadium capacity to make sure that all people that want to go to a match are able to do so (utilization of Terracing/Seating/VIP Seats below 100%), and secondly, to make sure that each spectator that wants to visit a certain facility can do so.

Making certain tweaks to your Stadium can result in additional revenue that is otherwise missed out on. Therefore, we recommend you to start looking into your Stadium Revenue Details right away by going to My Stadium.

Stadium Upgrade Request

As a new Manager it is crucial to get the best possible start financially. Therefore, all Managers with Stadiums below a certain capacity, both in terms of total spectator capacity and two major facilities (Hotdog Stands and Souvenir Shops), have received a Stadium Upgrade Request from their boards of directors. This should help Managers get started with their Stadium expansion.
