Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Macho Rostovskiy kicked off to start the match. Fanis Kokkinias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luchito Mendoza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Loukas Matsinopoulos was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Greece's players had a chance to rest. 7 minutes into the game when Wilfredo Treviño tried to clear up in front of the goal it happened that the ball rolled into goal via right pole. An extremely disappointing self made goal which led to 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fondas Karanikolas during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dimitris Grigorakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Arauz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Dimitris Grigorakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Arauz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dimitris Grigorakis came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the U21 Greece fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitris Grigorakis couldn't finish the play. Panagiotis Dentzas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Luchito Mendoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Kokkinias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Arauz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dimitris Grigorakis went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Dimitris Grigorakis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Julio Arauz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Dimitris Grigorakis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Arauz. That made the score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. The throw-in from Theofanis Papazoglou in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Panama's Gino Tzanetakos. Fanis Kokkinias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luchito Mendoza in the 40th minute of the match. Julio Arauz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panagiotis Dentzas, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

U21 Panama's Romel Henriguez was substituted for Macho Rostovskiy. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Panagiotis Dentzas to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Arauz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Grigorakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, U21 Greece's goalkeeper Fanis Kokkinias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luchito Mendoza. In the 64th minute, Fondas Zacharis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Greece's Panos Stasinopoulos was substituted for Kostas Tomaras. U21 Greece made a substitution. Chatziantoniou Karastathis replaced Panos Zindros. After 66 played minutes U21 Greece got a freekick which was hit by Fondas Zacharis. 67 minutes into the match, U21 Greece's goal looked a bit too open when Reed Reddington came free, but Fanis Kokkinias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alkinoos Koskotas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Arauz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alkinoos Koskotas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Alkinoos Koskotas put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Arauz. Fanis Kokkinias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Osorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Julio Arauz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alkinoos Koskotas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, U21 Greece's Fanis Kokkinias got control of the ball when Romel Henriguez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Arauz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alkinoos Koskotas in the 85th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Wilfredo Treviño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Arauz came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Greece's Alkinoos Koskotas. But to his dismay, Alkinoos Koskotas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The audience was convinced that Reed Reddington's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fanis Kokkinias was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. 97 minutes into the match, U21 Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Alkinoos Koskotas came free, but Julio Arauz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

For all the effort they put into the match, the U21 Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Greece.
