Seating: 2370, VIP seats: 206) Kudhara Sharma made the kick off and thus started the match. With a little luck, India's Surinderjit Nijjar got control of the ball when Ray Williams tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michael Carmichael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kudhara Sharma in the 4th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ray Williams got free with Surinderjit Nijjar in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the game, Andre Walker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trinidad & Tobago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave India the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Trinidad & Tobago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Walker to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Trinidad & Tobago's goal looked a bit too open when Kudhara Sharma came free, but Michael Carmichael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Carmichael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kudhara Sharma's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Surinderjit Nijjar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Walker in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kudhara Sharma in the 26th minute of play forced Trinidad & Tobago's goalkeeper Michael Carmichael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 played minutes Trinidad & Tobago got a freekick which was hit by Ray Williams. After 28 minutes of play, India's Adinatha Khandelwal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Carmichael was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, Trinidad & Tobago's goal looked a bit too open when Amritaprabha Jain came free, but Michael Carmichael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kudhara Sharma in the 34th minute of play forced Trinidad & Tobago's goalkeeper Michael Carmichael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute of the match India got a corner. Trinidad & Tobago's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dhaval Marathe ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Trinidad & Tobago's goalie and right to Anandita Bahia. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Trinidad & Tobago's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Trinidad & Tobago's Michael Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amritaprabha Jain in the 37th minute of play. Andre Walker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Surinderjit Nijjar made a huge save. Ajata Kaal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Carmichael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kudhara Sharma's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After 43 minutes Trinidad & Tobago's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dhaval Marathe who took care of the corner kick. Dhaval Marathe made a great header on India's corner, it was just that Trinidad & Tobago's Michael Carmichael managed to reach the ball for a save. Agnidhraka Kler hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half India were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Surinderjit Nijjar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ray Williams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kudhara Sharma in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Carmichael saved Trinidad & Tobago from getting behind. India's Kinjata Sangha was substituted for Kudhara Sharma. India's Ili Dwivedi was substituted for Amritaprabha Jain. After 76 played minutes Trinidad & Tobago got a freekick which was hit by Rupert Solomon. In the 78th minute Ili Dwivedi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Carmichael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Adinatha Khandelwal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Carmichael was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Michael Carmichael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adinatha Khandelwal's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. With 87 minutes on the clock, Rupert Solomon commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Trinidad & Tobago:s Michael Carmichael showed great skill when he stopped Adinatha Khandelwal:s penalty. A collision led to Trinidad & Tobago getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ray Williams hit a great ball. The Trinidad & Tobago supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching India's performance. The match ended with a win for India.
