Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jean-Cyrille Combet got the match started through his kick off. In the 11th minute Asier Higuera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anatole Judas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spain's Xofre Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Cyrille Combet in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Spain's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marius Tresor was slow to take the kick. During this time France's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Boris Valette got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Xofre Moreno quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Cyrille Combet in the 19th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Xofre Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as France's Yassine Benzia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xofre Moreno. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Spain's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Yassine Benzia scored to the left of an out of position Xofre Moreno, making the score, 2-0. Yassine Benzia struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Xofre Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for France. If Asier Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xofre Moreno came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by France's Yassine Benzia. But to his dismay, Yassine Benzia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 37th minute, Yassine Benzia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Xofre Moreno. The goal made the score 4-0. Anatole Judas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uxio Calatayud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Yassine Benzia came free, but Xofre Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xofre Moreno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yassine Benzia went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Yassine Benzia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Xofre Moreno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Alfonso Portillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anatole Judas having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yassine Benzia in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xofre Moreno saved Spain from getting behind. If Uxio Calatayud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yassine Benzia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xofre Moreno having to make a save. In the 60th minute Yassine Benzia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xofre Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Spain's goalkeeper Xofre Moreno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Asier Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anatole Judas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asier Higuera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xofre Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yassine Benzia in the 67th minute of play. Spain made a substitution. Jair Domínguez replaced Alfonso Portillo. France's Roger Chomel was substituted for Jean-Cyrille Combet. France's Adrien Houard was substituted for Dave Lavault. In the 71st minute of the match France got a corner. Spain's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marius Tresor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marius Tresor made a great header on France's corner, it was just that Spain's Xofre Moreno managed to reach the ball for a save. Xofre Moreno came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by France's Yassine Benzia. But to his dismay, Yassine Benzia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Jair Domínguez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anatole Judas having to make a save. Anatole Judas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jair Domínguez in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Yassine Benzia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xofre Moreno. Spain's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yassine Benzia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 93 minutes into the game, France's Blaise Deck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xofre Moreno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0.
