During this time Argentina's players had a chance to rest. 39 minutes into the match, Azerbaijan's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Orkatz came free, but Färid Balacayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Joaquin Orkatz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Färid Balacayev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Geleberto's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Argentina's Roberto Cresencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loğman Bädälov in the 93rd minute of play. The Argentina players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
