Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) ARAPONGAS's Lee Pellandini started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, ARAPONGAS's goalkeeper Patrik Babst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Rutsch. Alain Berset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, ARAPONGAS's Timon Gmür got a free kick in the 7th minute. Patrik Babst didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Endrik Fuchs went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Sebastian Striner fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ARAPONGAS's protests and gave Sebastian Striner a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ARAPONGAS's Sebastian Striner got a free kick in the 12th minute. Patrik Babst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alain Berset, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrik Babst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endrik Fuchs, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Patrik Babst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 20th minute of the match. Lee Pellandini hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Martin Rutsch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrik Babst. ARAPONGAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Rutsch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 24th play minute Martin Rutsch came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Patrik Babst. 4-0. In the 33rd minute, Martin Rutsch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrik Babst was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Endrik Fuchs scored 7-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrik Babst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Patrik Babst made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Martin Rutsch sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Alain Berset hit a great ball. Lee Pellandini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kim-André van der Schans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes ARAPONGAS got a freekick which was hit by Henry Hoch. In the last second Patrik Babst throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alain Berset in the 46thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 47 minutes ARAPONGAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Rutsch who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jacquin Achermann almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ARAPONGAS's Patrik Babst did a great save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

Switzerland made a substitution. Howard Archambault replaced Anton Scheupach. Sebastian Striner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim-André van der Schans having to interfere. Patrik Babst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Rutsch in the 59th minute of play. ARAPONGAS's Jan Spörri was substituted for Henry Hoch. ARAPONGAS's Patrik Babst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Endrik Fuchs in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, ARAPONGAS's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Rutsch came free, but Patrik Babst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Spörri charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Spörri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Jan Spörri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Endrik Fuchs succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 8-0. Gutierre Lauri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Patrik Babst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Marthaler hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When Sebastian Striner came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the ARAPONGAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Striner couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, ARAPONGAS's goal looked a bit too open when Endrik Fuchs came free, but Patrik Babst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Endrik Fuchs in the 95th minute of play forced ARAPONGAS's goalkeeper Patrik Babst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lee Pellandini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim-André van der Schans having to interfere. Switzerland's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
