Cristian Mergildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Mikolas in the 13th minute of play. İbrahim Efe Vecih didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximiliano Thanadeecharoenchok went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Fabricio Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. İbrahim Efe Vecih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Atilano Tonio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Maximo Mikolas sped through C.A. LANUS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristian Mergildo. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adamantios Geronimidis to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, C.A. İbrahim Efe Vecih stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adamantios Geronimidis's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Portucale H5's Aníbal Barroso was substituted for Maximo Mikolas. Portucale H5 made a substitution. Gonçalo Pereira replaced Estevão Antas. In the 91st minute of the match C.A. LANUS got a corner. Portucale H5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Atilano Tonio ran over to the corner to take the kick. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portucale H5's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Atilano Tonio was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A. LANUS's players had a chance to rest. In the 94th minute of the match C.A. LANUS got a corner. Portucale H5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Atilano Tonio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Everardo Gaizko heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Hamilton Espírito Santo came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Portucale H5 fans jumped to their feet. Portucale H5's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
