The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Domenico Welch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Cloyo. Joy Division Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domenico Welch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 8th minute, Dadá Ponta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Cloyo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Francisco Cloyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Ponta in the 11th minute of play. Jon Negron's late challenge caught a Joy Division Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jon Negron helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jon Negron hit a great ball. Segundo Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Estebano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Cloyo was a little too slow when Chris Cabezon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 3-0. Joy Division Athletic's Francisco Cloyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarod Hester in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Joy Division Athletic's goalkeeper Francisco Cloyo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domenico Welch. After some careless play in the Joy Division Athletic defense, Chris Cabezon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Cloyo. The Joy Division Athletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Cloyo should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute Cory Kirkland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Cloyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, New England Minas's Chris Cabezon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francisco Cloyo. Francisco Cloyo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. Joy Division Athletic's Francisco Cloyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Welch in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Normando in the 47th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remigio Canor to make the kick off. Segundo Gol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fidel Normando in the 52nd minute. Segundo Gol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Canor in the 54th minute of the match. Francisco Cloyo came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Chris Cabezon. But to his dismay, Chris Cabezon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Dadá Ponta scored 7-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Cloyo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute, Chris Cabezon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Cloyo was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. 68 minutes into the match, Dadá Ponta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Cloyo. Joy Division Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dadá Ponta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. 74 minutes into the match, Cory Kirkland notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Joy Division Athletic's Francisco Cloyo. Francisco Cloyo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Joy Division Athletic defense, Chris Cabezon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Cloyo. The Joy Division Athletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Cloyo should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Chris Cabezon made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Cloyo. Joy Division Athletic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. Francisco Cloyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenico Welch, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Francisco Cloyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Ponta in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute Cory Kirkland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Cloyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Chris Cabezon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Cloyo was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. New England Minas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
