After a rather tough play, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Nicolas Laurentzi got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute of the match, Martin Tuttle got a very nice opportunity to score, but Felipe Guzman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A hard shot 20 in the game by Rudolf Pendleton from a close distance when the talented Felipe Guzman managed to make a qualified save. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigio Maria during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Remigio Maria got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute Fulgencio Nel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Villanueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Canalla de Chicago's Bart Villanueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Nel in the 27th minute of play. El Canalla de Chicago's Rudolf Pendleton got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Nel came free, but Bart Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulgencio Nel in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bart Villanueva saved El Canalla de Chicago from getting behind. After 35 minutes, D.J. Britton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Canalla de Chicago and the Atletico Calamar Saavedra players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Omar Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 43 minutes, Fulgencio Nel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Nel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 minutes Atletico Calamar Saavedra's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Norberto Bristol who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Norberto Bristol almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Felipe Guzman did a great save.

The wind increased when Omar Costante made the kick off in the second half. Omar Costante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Villanueva having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Pendleton in the 56th minute of play forced Atletico Calamar Saavedra's goalkeeper Felipe Guzman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Guzman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Pendleton in the 64th minute of the match. The supporters of Atletico Calamar Saavedra booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanner Booker didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Tanner Waller replaced D.J. Britton. In the 70th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanner Booker to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Roark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Felipe Guzman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Intxixu charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Intxixu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacinto Intxixu kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Bristol to maneuver through the defense. Bart Villanueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Nel, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Felipe Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Roark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute of the match El Canalla de Chicago got a corner. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Norberto Bristol ran over to the corner to take the kick. El Canalla de Chicago's Norberto Bristol was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Felipe Guzman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Remigio Maria got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fulgencio Nel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Monty Stout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
