After having played for 4 minutes, Lino Edorta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pegaso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Edorta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thalis Krommidas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Lino Edorta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thalis Krommidas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Gelmiro having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Pegaso's goalkeeper Leo Gelmiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thalis Krommidas. Leo Gelmiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donzel Goyeneta's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. AEK S.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Carreira in the 31st minute. The corner led AEK S.C's Kevin Carreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Leo Gelmiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, AEK S.C's Alfaro Meo got a free kick in the 37th minute. Thanasis Koltsidas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Edorta's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Edorta in the 41st minute of play. With a little luck, Pegaso's Leo Gelmiro got control of the ball when Thalis Krommidas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thalis Krommidas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Leo Gelmiro made a huge save. In the 45th minute Efren Dobale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Koltsidas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Edorta made a kick off. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efren Dobale in the 56th minute of play. Leo Gelmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donzel Goyeneta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Lino Edorta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Koltsidas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pegaso made a substitution. Cordairo Ribas replaced Lino Edorta. Leo Gelmiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donzel Goyeneta in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Donzel Goyeneta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEK S.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donzel Goyeneta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donzel Goyeneta took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Gelmiro. Leo Gelmiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. AEK S.C made a substitution. Marinos Sakalis replaced Sakis Tavlaridis. The supporters of Pegaso booed when AEK S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Hats didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Pegaso's goal looked a bit too open when Donzel Goyeneta came free, but Leo Gelmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Carreira took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Gelmiro. Leo Gelmiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. There was no doubt that AEK S.C were the better team. AEK S.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
