Creekers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Gines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The wind increased when Ladislao Gines made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Javier Firmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Lastur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Riley Trotter went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 60 minutes into the match, Ladislao Gines had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Lastur. Leones FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ladislao Gines was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riley Trotter in the 70th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Riley Trotter scored 7-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Lastur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ladislao Gines took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Lastur. Leopoldo Lastur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. 79 minutes into the game, Creekers's Xavier Salazar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 90th minute Xavier Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Creekers were the better team. Creekers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
