In the 4thth minute of the game Ayi Kusumah who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sanderlend's Sverker Fanström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, BuanaRaya's goalkeeper Cătălin Ostoici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Babbis Aggeliadis. When Sanderlend's Babbis Aggeliadis, in the 9th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Sanderlend. A collision led to BuanaRaya getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Washington Arantes hit a great ball. Sverker Fanström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ayi Kusumah, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, BuanaRaya's goal looked a bit too open when Jasin Jelić came free, but Cătălin Ostoici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Pepijn Hummel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sanderlend's Sverker Fanström. Sverker Fanström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Sanderlend booed when BuanaRaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phillipe Portai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sanderlend's Babbis Aggeliadis got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cătălin Ostoici came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sanderlend's Jasin Jelić. But to his dismay, Jasin Jelić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Sanderlend's Sverker Fanström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepijn Hummel in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, BuanaRaya's goalkeeper Cătălin Ostoici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jasin Jelić. Sanderlend's Sverker Fanström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Arantes in the 41st minute of play. After 46 played minutes BuanaRaya got a freekick which was hit by Pepijn Hummel. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Sanderlend's Nedo Helvida got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Sanderlend's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Arantes came free, but Sverker Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Babbis Aggeliadis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cătălin Ostoici was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Sanderlend made a substitution. Leo Best replaced Victorino Mano. Sanderlend's Fathi Yu was substituted for Babbis Aggeliadis. In the 73rd minute of the game Phillipe Portai made a throw-in which Ayi Kusumah played forward. Washington Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BuanaRaya's Gerard Pique was substituted for Emilian Onișoru. In the 85th minute Pepijn Hummel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Fanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sverker Fanström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pepijn Hummel in the 89th minute.
