Spectators: 579 (Terracing: 435, Seating: 133, VIP seats: 11) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Benny Niva took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Tio Lio managed to get in a good position for a shot. New England Minas's supporters rose to their feet, but Tio Lio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Ascencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zacarias Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tio Lio in the 7th minute of play. Zacarias Ascencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tio Lio in the 10th minute of the match. Zacarias Ascencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tio Lio's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Benny Niva took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremy Nicholas. Jeremy Nicholas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zacarias Ascencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tio Lio in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Tio Lio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Zacarias Ascencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Ye Gang Cheng got a free kick in the 21st minute. Zacarias Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tio Lio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Tio Lio came free, but Zacarias Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 3-1 became the score in the 31st minute when Tio Lio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 36th minute Ruben Gomez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Gomez in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Celta de Virgos's Orlondón Lagos got a free kick in the 46th minute. Zacarias Ascencio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lalo Rosas. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tio Lio to make the kick off. Ruben Gomez's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruben Gomez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 50th minute, Ruben Gomez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Benny Niva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celta de Virgos's Dario Elivareo was substituted for Ruben Gomez. New England Minas made a substitution. Edgardo Silva replaced Tio Lio. With a little luck, New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas got control of the ball when David Astudillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 68 played minutes Celta de Virgos got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Sayvion. Dündar Aynacıoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dündar Aynacıoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Celta de Virgos getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dündar Aynacıoğlu hit a great ball. Edgardo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Zacarias Ascencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Silva in the 82nd minute of play forced Celta de Virgos's goalkeeper Zacarias Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Astudillo in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremy Nicholas saved New England Minas from getting behind. After having played for 88 minutes, David Astudillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celta de Virgos's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Astudillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Ye Gang Cheng in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Celta de Virgos's Sergio Sayvion. Emmitt Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Ascencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacarias Ascencio came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Edgardo Silva. But to his dismay, Edgardo Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. When Leonides Corderro fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celta de Virgos's protests and gave Leonides Corderro a yellow card for diving instead.
