Club Deportivo Águila's Gustavo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krakaca Neto in the 21st minute of play. After 24 minutes of play, Futuros FC's Arkın Öğüç made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Corpeño hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goal looked a bit too open when Mai Xun Kang came free, but Gustavo Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

In the 58th match minute, Futuros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkın Öğüç to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's Dário Diniz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Carlos Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Club Deportivo Águila's Dário Diniz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Carlos Andrade. João Carlos Andrade yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krakaca Neto in the 68th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
