Hagfors's Johannes Wallin got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 6 minutes, Jens-Åke Alfors mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huvudstaden and the Hagfors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edgar Österberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Björkkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Hagfors's Martin Björkkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Tony Hallgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Åke Bergman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ulrik Asplund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Åke Bergman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ulrik Asplund, 2-0. Per-Erik Clementsson took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulrik Asplund. Ulrik Asplund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 29 minutes into the match, Per-Erik Clementsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulrik Asplund. Hagfors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Per-Erik Clementsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. If Per-Erik Clementsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Tage Lundhberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hagfors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huvudstaden the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Huvudstaden's Åke Bergman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulrik Asplund. That made the score 5-0 after 38 minutes of play. 43 minutes into the game, Eric Sundberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huvudstaden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hagfors the free kick. After having played for 47 minutes, Tony Hallgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huvudstaden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Hallgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johannes Wallin to make the kick off. Edgar Österberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Björkkvist in the 52nd minute. Johannes Åström charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johannes Åström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johannes Åström hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Åke Bergman made a precise shot to the right of Ulrik Asplund. Hagfors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 60 minutes, Johannes Wallin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hagfors and the Huvudstaden players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Hagfors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Wallin to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hagfors's Mårten Gadd got a free kick in the 61st minute. The supporters of Hagfors booed when Huvudstaden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Hallgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carl Alefors kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Åke Bergman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrik Asplund having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Per-Erik Clementsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulrik Asplund was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After 80 minutes of play, Huvudstaden's Tony Hallgren made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulrik Asplund was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Huvudstaden booed when Hagfors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Stålberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulrik Asplund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åke Bergman in the 89th minute of the match. Jens-Åke Alfors took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulrik Asplund. Ulrik Asplund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. 97 minutes into the match, Hagfors's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Åke Alfors came free, but Ulrik Asplund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Huvudstaden were the better team. Huvudstaden's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
