Ondřej Brůna's late challenge caught a Lex Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ondřej Brůna helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 6 minutes, Radek Chlup managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lex Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radek Chlup was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Pluhař scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonín Drozd, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Václav Prokeš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Antonín Drozd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Václav Prokeš did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Antonín Drozd 17 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Leopold Blecha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lex Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Cherries the free kick. Leopold Blecha hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ondřej Brůna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jiří Babák. Lex Academy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 24th minute, Matouš Herink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Richard Pluhař ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antonín Drozd was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Ondřej Brůna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jiří Babák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Lex Academy getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Radek Chlup hit a great ball. After some careless play in the AFC Cherries defense, Jaromír Jína kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonín Drozd. The AFC Cherries fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonín Drozd should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karel Vlasák to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Václav Prokeš in the 51st minute of play forced AFC Cherries's goalkeeper Antonín Drozd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lex Academy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
