After 12 minutes of play, San Fernando Eagles's Marcial Errolan made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Santxol was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Urbez got free with Danilo Santxol in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Matias Henrico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rdth minute of the game Leonides Lidon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quebrachitos FC's Danilo Santxol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Fabricio Nahia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Nestor Nuxila made a precise shot to the right of Fabricio Nahia. San Fernando Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 35 played minutes San Fernando Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Urbez. In the 38th match minute, San Fernando Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Errolan to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 44 minutes, Nestor Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebrachitos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Nuxila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Fernando Eagles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Octavio Odol was slow to take the kick. During this time Quebrachitos FC's players had a chance to rest. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Nuxila was the one to do the kick off. Danilo Santxol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Errolan, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Nestor Nuxila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Fabricio Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leonides Lidon fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Fernando Eagles's protests and gave Leonides Lidon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Quebrachitos FC booed when San Fernando Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Lidon didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 61 in the game by Nestor Nuxila from a close distance when the talented Fabricio Nahia managed to make a qualified save. San Fernando Eagles's players were relieved. Quebrachitos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celedonio Cordarrol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of San Fernando Eagles:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quebrachitos FC:s goal. 86 minutes into the match, Nestor Nuxila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabricio Nahia. San Fernando Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Nuxila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. After 89 played minutes Quebrachitos FC got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Odol. Lázaro Urtsua charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lázaro Urtsua the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 99th minute Leonides Lidon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Santxol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Fernando Eagles's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
