After a rather tough play, AC Batán's Norberto Brun got a free kick in the 21st minute. Ni Le Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel Messi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes of play, La Scaloneta's Lionel Messi made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ni Le Zheng was left in no man's land by his defense there! AC Batán's Feng Sen Peng managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cristian Romero in the 32 minute of the game. After 36 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Nicolás Otamendi. Arif Cengiz Sökmensu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leo Asteri. La Scaloneta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 37 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Alexis MacAlister. Leo Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A collision led to AC Batán getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Angelo Ilixo hit a great ball. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Leo Asteri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, AC Batán's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel Messi came free, but Ni Le Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Lionel Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Le Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Acácio Nogueira to make the kick off. AC Batán's Cristoforo Di Ruscio was substituted for Angelo Ilixo. 81 minutes into the match, AC Batán's goalkeeper Ni Le Zheng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Martinez. Cristoforo Di Ruscio hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. La Scaloneta made a substitution. Ángel-Fabián Di María replaced Leandro Paredes. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when AC Batán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. The La Scaloneta players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented AC Batán from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
