After some careless play in the Squadra Sulista defense, Ramiro Montae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josué Pinheiro. The Squadra Sulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josué Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute, Fernan Ler made a precise shot to the right of Josué Pinheiro. Squadra Sulista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. In the 80th minute Fernan Ler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
