It was Carlos de Amorim who took care of the corner kick. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Eorlingas United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos de Amorim was slow to take the kick. During this time Zemantauskas FC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Eorlingas United getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Naim Sözer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özer Tanalp in the 18th minute of play forced Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Marco de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zemantauskas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Işıkalp Uğurel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Işıkalp Uğurel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco de Sousa in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Marco de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Işıkalp Uğurel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zemantauskas FC's Luís Fernando Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özer Tanalp in the 25th minute of play. Işıkalp Uğurel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fernando Paraibano made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Haluk Turbay sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Ferreira hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nazmi Münib came free, but Luís Fernando Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco de Sousa in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Işıkalp Uğurel saved Eorlingas United from getting behind. In the 45th minute of the match Vitório Soeiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Işıkalp Uğurel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marco de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Işıkalp Uğurel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco de Sousa during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Marco de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th match minute, Zemantauskas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Işıkalp Uğurel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco de Sousa in the 61st minute of the match. Marco de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Eorlingas United manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Zemantauskas FC to win.
