After 2 minutes, Kārlis Straubegs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JFSP and the Unidade Pinto Louco players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Unidade Pinto Louco booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kārlis Straubegs didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Unidade Pinto Louco's goalkeeper Erivaldo Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edinson Gentenaar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Perivaldo Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unidade Pinto Louco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Edinson Gentenaar scored to the left of an out of position Erivaldo Garcia, making the score, 1-0. JFSP's attentive Kārlis Straubegs managed to snatch the ball when Duda Barbosa made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. Edinson Gentenaar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Edson Aguiar got a free kick in the 35th minute. Unidade Pinto Louco's Erivaldo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flaco López in the 39th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flaco López made a kick off. Erivaldo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Gentenaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute Edinson Gentenaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Perivaldo Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Flaco López shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Unidade Pinto Louco's goal looked a bit too open when Edinson Gentenaar came free, but Erivaldo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
