But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Silva couldn't finish the play. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Sterlig in the 29th minute of play. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 朱凡光, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 蔡潮霖 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Ding 赵云 in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by New England Minas's Roman Major. When Edgardo Silva came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the New England Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Silva couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
