After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Teodoro Criston got a free kick in the 3rd minute. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Alberto Santamaria hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Douglas Ayala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Virgilio Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Inautzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Alvarado, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Consejo del Mate's Orlando Bartolome slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fidel Santana. That made the score 2-0 after 24 minutes of play. Félix Moreno hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Rocendo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. Consejo del Mate's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. GuateFortín's Fidel Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Bartolome in the 35th minute of play. Bernardo Inautzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Félix Moreno in the 39th minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Henriquez to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in GuateFortín's zone, Orlando Bartolome stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Santana came out of the goal and Orlando Bartolome tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fidel Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Bartolome in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Bartolome came free, but Fidel Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douglas Ayala kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. GuateFortín's Fidel Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Bartolome in the 66th minute of play. Fidel Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Bartolome, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tiburcio Rocendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Orlando Bartolome had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidel Santana. GuateFortín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Bartolome was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. GuateFortín's Efren Viscarra was substituted for Félix Moreno. Orlando Bartolome struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Fidel Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Consejo del Mate. Alberto Santamaria hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Consejo del Mate's Ramiro Gutxi got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Consejo del Mate had played much better football throughout.
