In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maní FC's goalkeeper Higinio Terciero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maní FC's Higinio Terciero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Arellano in the 6th minute of play. In the 12th minute Flavio Lorencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Buljubasich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Club Atlético Lea Papá were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Scalise stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudio Scalise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Terciero having to interfere. Claudio Scalise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Terciero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. If Claudio Scalise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maní FC's Flavio Lorencio got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maní FC's Higinio Terciero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Maní FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Club Atlético Lea Papá booed when Maní FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Salomone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Terciero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Scalise went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Miguel Tejada could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Higinio Terciero however easily saved by the left post. 82 minutes into the game, Miguel Tejada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Lea Papá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maní FC the free kick. After 85 played minutes Maní FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Orlondon. Miguel Tejada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Terciero having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Marcelo Carracedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Lea Papá and the Maní FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcelo Carracedo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 97 minutes in the game Luisito Costante did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Honorio Oriol. When the final whistle sounded Club Atlético Lea Papá left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maní FC.
