Fabian Frank took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chase Palacios. Chase Palacios dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. BUITRES II's Chase Palacios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rex Herrera in the 23rd minute of play. Fabian Frank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The West Oahu Wave Riders fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when West Oahu Wave Riders's Frankie Esparza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Frankie Esparza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chase Palacios having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rex Herrera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Frankie Esparza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chase Palacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. West Oahu Wave Riders's Frankie Esparza got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shawn Hood hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Pike in the 84th minute of play forced West Oahu Wave Riders's goalkeeper Andre Moses to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, BUITRES II's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Esparza came free, but Chase Palacios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Shawn Hood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chase Palacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frankie Esparza in the 91st minute of the match. West Oahu Wave Riders's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
