The shot was a little too simple and Chauncey Holland could save by the left post. Tolek Kornatowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Chauncey Holland came out and tried to block the shot, but Tolek Kornatowski slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Chauncey Holland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolek Kornatowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Jost Egli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chauncey Holland. Jost Egli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Michael Sarimski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chauncey Holland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Kornatowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Tolek Kornatowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter 1908 Milan's Chauncey Holland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lars Setz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Beckman in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Norberto Beckman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lars Setz. Denti della Vecchia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norberto Beckman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes Inter 1908 Milan got a freekick which was hit by Lacy Couture. 53 minutes into the match, Inter 1908 Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Sarimski came free, but Chauncey Holland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chauncey Holland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zbyszko Galaska went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the match, Tolek Kornatowski notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Inter 1908 Milan's Chauncey Holland. Chauncey Holland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute, Zbyszko Galaska made a precise shot to the right of Chauncey Holland. Inter 1908 Milan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Samuel Vaz took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chauncey Holland. Chauncey Holland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-1.
