Moron's goalkeeper Jesus Rios, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jesus Rios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alcides López in the 5th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Alcides López sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jesus Rios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 13 minutes, Buenaventura Durruti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de Chillán and the Dep. Moron players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dep. Moron booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buenaventura Durruti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Pepe Yates throw himself and got hold of the ball when J.C. Jacobson in the 15thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some careless play in the Inter de Chillán defense, J.C. Jacobson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pepe Yates. The Inter de Chillán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pepe Yates should have stopped the shot. Alcides López recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. J.C. Jacobson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Pepe Yates skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 31 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Alcides López sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jesus Rios narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alcides López to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, J.C. Jacobson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Alcides López notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Dep. Moron's Jesus Rios. Jesus Rios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dep. Moron's Renato Esposito was substituted for Daníel Ortiz. 62 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Alcides López sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jesus Rios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th minute J.C. Jacobson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Yates saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Alcides López managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alcides López was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inter de Chillán's Pepe Yates played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.C. Jacobson in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.C. Jacobson in the 75th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Pepe Yates to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pepe Yates showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milo Cordova, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th match minute, Dep. Moron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milo Cordova to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Nestor Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Milo Cordova came free, but Pepe Yates reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dep. Moron's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
