The Santos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Smallwood should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Lázaro Roderigo made the kick off in the second half. António Roma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terence Nicholas in the 78th minute of play. Gaston Alfonso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aaron Smallwood having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Alfonso got free with Aaron Smallwood in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Alfonso. With his leg Aaron Smallwood managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Oflador FC 2003's Gaston Alfonso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ahmet Tolga Enginer kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
