In the 11th minute Wally Urbina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moussa Queffelec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Nelson Insfrán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Teisseire in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, La Scaloneta's Moussa Queffelec got control of the ball when Werner Uhl tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Moussa Queffelec threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wally Urbina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 24 minutes into the match, Rob Singer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moussa Queffelec. La Scaloneta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rob Singer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 31st minute La Scaloneta were awarded a corner. Matthieu Dhainaut went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Wally Urbina managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's supporters rose to their feet, but Wally Urbina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moussa Queffelec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nelson Insfrán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Dole, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Moussa Queffelec stood somewhat misplaced when Wally Urbina came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 41 minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Wally Urbina kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Moussa Queffelec. That made the score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wally Urbina to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Domenic Bowser got a free kick in the 51st minute. Pierre Dole could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Nelson Insfrán made a huge save.
