In the 16th match minute, Wakeeney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sal Naylor to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Winston Wade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Steward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orville Ray struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alfonzo Nava didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wakeeney FC. Alfonzo Nava didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jackson Fuller went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, Wakeeney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Winston Wade came free, but Genaro Steward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jackson Fuller scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfonzo Nava, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Grant Bradshaw fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wakeeney FC's protests and gave Grant Bradshaw a yellow card for diving instead. Grant Bradshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Genaro Steward stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Winston Wade's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wakeeney FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Simon McCain was slow to take the kick. During this time Royse City's players had a chance to rest. Simon McCain made a great header on Royse City's corner, it was just that Wakeeney FC's Genaro Steward managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedict Chacon got free with Alfonzo Nava in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, Royse City's Winston Wade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Genaro Steward narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Wakeeney FC got a freekick which was hit by Jackson Fuller. In the 64th minute, Ruben Fox got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute Jackson Fuller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonzo Nava saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonzo Nava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackson Fuller in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Ruben Fox ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Genaro Steward was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. A collision led to Wakeeney FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jackson Fuller hit a great ball. Royse City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Orville Ray scored to the left of an out of position Alfonzo Nava, making the score, 1-4. Derek Dalton made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ruben Fox however managed to control. In the 92nd minute, Benedict Chacon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Jackson Fuller could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Alfonzo Nava however easily saved by the left post. When the match was over Wakeeney FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Royse City throughout the match.
