The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alexis Short's late challenge caught a Romania junior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexis Short helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to San Pablo Team getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Alexis Short hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domenic Morrison in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dane Blake saved San Pablo Team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Hunter Fuller managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Pablo Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Hunter Fuller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurence Beckman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ezra Beebe hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Domenic Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dane Blake having to interfere. If Hunter Fuller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romania junior's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Hunter Fuller scored to the left of an out of position Laurence Beckman, making the score, 1-0. In the 31st match minute, San Pablo Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezra Beebe to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Domenic Morrison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Romania junior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Hunter Fuller came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the San Pablo Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hunter Fuller couldn't finish the play. Hunter Fuller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hunter Fuller struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Laurence Beckman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Pablo Team. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domenic Morrison made a kick off. Laurence Beckman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hunter Fuller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurence Beckman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hunter Fuller in the 56th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Romania junior got a freekick which was hit by Clinton Snider. Laurence Beckman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hunter Fuller, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Hunter Fuller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Romania junior's goal looked a bit too open when Hunter Fuller came free, but Laurence Beckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurence Beckman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hunter Fuller, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute.
