When Virgil Dahlstrom came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Colonie FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgil Dahlstrom couldn't finish the play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernie Saucedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glen Ellyn's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Sheldon Rodrigues scored to the left of an out of position Elliott Stapleton, making the score, 0-11. 89 minutes into the match, Donovan Corbin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elliott Stapleton. Glen Ellyn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donovan Corbin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12. 93 minutes into the match, Olaf Mojsiewicz notched a goal, 0-13, to the right of Glen Ellyn's Elliott Stapleton. Elliott Stapleton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Colonie FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
