The audience thought a goal was coming when Charly Rusterholz got free with Roger Myles in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute Sal Jarrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robrecht Scheppers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Danilo Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robrecht Scheppers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Moorefield AFC booed when Illinois Bluewaters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güneş İltemur didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes Moorefield AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 冯永宽 who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Illinois Bluewaters's corner Sal Jarrell fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Robrecht Scheppers quite easily take care of the ball. Robrecht Scheppers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Illinois Bluewaters's Emanuel Brogren got a free kick in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Oskar 舒 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moorefield AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oskar 舒 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Myles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roger Myles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oskar 舒's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Moorefield AFC's Robrecht Scheppers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Moorefield AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute Oskar 舒 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Myles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Myles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charly Rusterholz in the 67th minute of the match. When Moorefield AFC's Omar Powell in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Illinois Bluewaters defense, Bryan Donovan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Myles. The Illinois Bluewaters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Myles should have stopped the shot. In the 95th match minute, Moorefield AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Cronin to maneuver through the defense. Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Donovan in the 96th minute of play. Illinois Bluewaters's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
