A sloppy throw-in by Paulo Maldini in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Made in Paraguay's Manuelo Onil. 47 minutes into the game, Román Olmedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oscar Cordoba. Román Olmedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dieter Breves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieter Breves, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilmar Heidemann in the 59th managed to get into a good position. In the 90th minute of the match, Vilmar Heidemann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cãlin Damaschin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Abel Velasco got a free kick in the 94th minute. Cãlin Damaschin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loramendi Moldes in the 95th minute of the match. After 96 minutes CERRO PORTEÑO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arne Iten who took care of the corner kick. Chants of Made in Paraguay echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as CERRO PORTEÑO had held the ball for most of the match.
