Themba Takane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 minutes Cimarrones F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andrea Heraso who took care of the corner kick. In the 19th minute Taniel Kips shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Themba Takane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 25th minute of play. Grabiel Escorcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Themba Takane having to make a save. Cimarrones F.C. were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Nacional's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oswald Griese took the corner. Grabiel Escorcia scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Themba Takane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darwin Torres got free with Cristiano Aveiro in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
