In the 23rd minute of the match, Florentino Cedro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ergo Muro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Niceto Ihazintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Flávio Terra made a huge save. In the 75th match minute, Caatiba MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Hierro to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Flávio Terra successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Florentino Cedro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Conceição's supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Cedro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Mattos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio Terra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Flávio Terra made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Nuno Mattos sent off a good shot on target. Ergo Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Cedro in the 92nd minute of play. The Caatiba MZC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Caatiba MZC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
