With a left leg Paulão Alfaks saved OSASCO FC from getting behind. OSASCO FC's Paulão Alfaks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Moraes in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sport Club do Recife's Matías Mota got a free kick in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the match, OSASCO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Mota came free, but Paulão Alfaks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Club do Recife's goalkeeper Henrique Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The OSASCO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulão Alfaks should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Anselmo Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Alfaks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Botelho in the 47th minute of play forced Sport Club do Recife's goalkeeper Henrique Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Sport Club do Recife were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matías Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Sport Club do Recife's corner Márcio de Lara fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulão Alfaks quite easily take care of the ball. OSASCO FC's Paulão Alfaks proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save OSASCO FC from getting a goal against them. OSASCO FC's Paulão Alfaks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Moraes in the 80th minute of play. Anselmo Moraes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulão Alfaks came out and tried to block the shot, but Anselmo Moraes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 90th minute. Jaime Rojelio took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulão Alfaks. Paulão Alfaks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. When the final whistle sounded Sport Club do Recife left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than OSASCO FC.
