After taking down the ball on Sport Club do Recife's corner Márcio de Lara fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vitinho Sarmento quite easily take care of the ball. Leopoldo Azevedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Henrique Prata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Azevedo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Prata saved Sport Club do Recife from getting behind. Sport Club do Recife's Henrique Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Club do Recife from getting a goal against them.
