Marquinhos Santos started the match with the kick off. PREZULO FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marquinhos Santos in the 20th minute. PREZULO FC's Marquinhos Santos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Haji Sarap in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 25th minute, Marquinhos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haji Sarap was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Marquinhos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Haji Sarap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Jarbas Quadros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Joinville City - FSCMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PREZULO FC were winning 0-1.

PREZULO FC's Betão de Brito was substituted for Olgierd Literski. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Horácio Abraão was substituted for Ronaldinho Gaucho. In the 75th minute, PREZULO FC's Marquinhos Santos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Haji Sarap. Haji Sarap yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 79th minute Marquinhos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haji Sarap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Jaunzuria came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Jaunzuria in the 85th minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferhat Sertuğ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão de Brito in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Isaac Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haji Sarap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Abraão in the 96th minute of play. PREZULO FC played a much better game than Joinville City - FSCMZ and deserved their victory. The Joinville City - FSCMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
