In the 12th match minute, Guayquiraró FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Sandalio to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Guayquiraró FC's Baldomiro Gomesano got a free kick in the 21st minute. Adan Dominguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Amador Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guayquiraró FC's Paolo Frascuelo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adan Dominguez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. River Plate's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
