Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Gaskon to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Lanús's Eloy Gaskon made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Academia Club's László Kutasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Gaskon in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Lanús were awarded a corner. Jake Hursey went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Rabelani Thebile got away a dangerous shot. Despite this László Kutasi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. It was a well-played corner which Rabelani Thebile managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. But to his dismay, Yuan Jian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Lanús's attentive Bernardino Gaztea managed to snatch the ball when Luo Wei Bang made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. If Eloy Gaskon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benicio Marques shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Luo Wei Bang got a throw-in 96 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cahit Eker. Luo Wei Bang charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luo Wei Bang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luo Wei Bang kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
