The audience was convinced that Arsenio Erico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Neuer was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Arsenio Erico put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Neuer. Lanús's Manuel Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Perez in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Constitución's zone, Eloy Gaskon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Uzuri came out of the goal and Eloy Gaskon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Ambrosio Jerano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Constitución's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanús the free kick. A collision led to Sportivo Constitución getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ambrosio Jerano hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Wincenty Bucyki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Wincenty Bucyki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Constitución's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincenty Bucyki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Sportivo Constitución's Enzo Uzuri got control of the ball when Eloy Gaskon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Eloy Gaskon made a precise shot to the right of Enzo Uzuri. Sportivo Constitución's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Manuel Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wincenty Bucyki in the 78th minute of the match. Eloy Gaskon might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enzo Uzuri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sportivo Constitución's Enzo Uzuri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Gaskon in the 96th minute of play. Rabelani Thebile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Uzuri having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
