Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Magdaleno in the 16th minute of the match. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Pero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Gaueko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Palmer. Marco Pero might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christof Deroek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Pero ran back to his position shaking his head. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Pero in the 27th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Growlithe FC defense, Marco Pero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christof Deroek. The Growlithe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christof Deroek should have stopped the shot. Jorge Quirino hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half Academia FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Pero to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Academia FC's Marco Pero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christof Deroek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Palmer in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiburcio Gaueko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute of the match, Marco Pero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christof Deroek saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Academia FC's Jairo Nuxila was substituted for Adan Haimar. Growlithe FC's Angelo Burni quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jorge Quirino, made in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 81stth minute of the game Barış Ziya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia FC's Tiburcio Gaueko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Growlithe FC's Barış Ziya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiburcio Gaueko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 88 minutes in the game Adolfo Etxahun did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jorge Quirino. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Growlithe FC's goalkeeper Christof Deroek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Academia FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
