The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, Naboonga Wild Katt FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Lorenz came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Sixto Lorenz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Jim Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Acatincăi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Sixto Lorenz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Björnberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 24 minutes into the match, Sixto Lorenz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Naboonga Wild Katt FC's Anton Björnberg. Anton Björnberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Silban received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ovidiu Acatincăi came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Silban slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 30th minute. Naboonga Wild Katt FC's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Lorenz in the 32nd minute of play. Ovidiu Acatincăi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Morrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by AFTER GYM FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Manuel Iaki was slow to take the kick. During this time Naboonga Wild Katt FC's players had a chance to rest. Leandro Santoro tried in the 40th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Ovidiu Acatincăi a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Silban in the 46th minute of play forced AFTER GYM FC's goalkeeper Ovidiu Acatincăi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes AFTER GYM FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manuel Iaki who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AFTER GYM FC's goalie and right to Lucho Garkalin. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AFTER GYM FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sixto Lorenz to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Naboonga Wild Katt FC booed when AFTER GYM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Nikola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Naboonga Wild Katt FC's zone, Sixto Lorenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Björnberg came out of the goal and Sixto Lorenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidiu Acatincăi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Silban, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Manuel Iaki kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. AFTER GYM FC's Maciej Burdzel was substituted for Sixto Lorenz. AFTER GYM FC made a substitution. Anton Björnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maciej Burdzel in the 84th minute of the match. Genaro Nikola let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 90th minute shot 3-4 at rihgt post. Naboonga Wild Katt FC's Rodolfo Cordero quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raimundo Chorche, made in the 92nd minute of the game. After some careless play in the AFTER GYM FC defense, Quentin Francis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidiu Acatincăi. The AFTER GYM FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidiu Acatincăi should have stopped the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
