Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glyn Styles in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gary Kelly prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Overpower FC's Brett Hart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Overpower FC from getting a goal against them. After taking down the ball on Club Atlético de Newell's corner Spike Foley fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Brett Hart quite easily take care of the ball. Cliff Kershaw kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Brett Hart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Eufemio in the 18th minute. Club Atlético de Newell's Gary Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glyn Styles in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Timo Werner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gary Kelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Atlético de Newell getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Sebastian Percival hit a great ball. Club Atlético de Newell's Gary Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glyn Styles in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glyn Styles in the 27th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Gary Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glyn Styles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary Kelly having to interfere. Gary Kelly came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Overpower FC's Glyn Styles. But to his dismay, Glyn Styles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gary Kelly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glyn Styles's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Brett Hart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spike Foley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Club Atlético de Newell getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Arbi Newell hit a great ball. Timo Werner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gary Kelly. Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Overpower FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Timo Werner in the 48th minute. Overpower FC's Timo Werner was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gary Kelly in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Percival to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Overpower FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Alexandersen came free, but Brett Hart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gary Kelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glyn Styles in the 56th minute of the match. Glyn Styles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary Kelly having to interfere. Gary Kelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glyn Styles in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Percival in the 63rd minute of play forced Overpower FC's goalkeeper Brett Hart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Overpower FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Eufemio came free, but Brett Hart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timo Werner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Gary Kelly made a huge save. Brett Hart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Alexandersen in the 67th minute of play. Gary Kelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glyn Styles in the 68th minute of the match. Overpower FC made a substitution. Federico Bero replaced Glyn Styles. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético de Newell's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Timo Werner was slow to take the kick. During this time Overpower FC's players had a chance to rest. Ale Speed made a great header on Overpower FC's corner, it was just that Club Atlético de Newell's Gary Kelly managed to reach the ball for a save. 72 minutes into the match, Overpower FC's goal looked a bit too open when Spike Foley came free, but Brett Hart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Gary Kelly had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Bero. Overpower FC's Filip Skrzypek was substituted for David Beckham Jr. In the 75th minute Overpower FC were awarded a corner. Timo Werner went to the cornerflag to take it. Timo Werner made a great header on Overpower FC's corner, it was just that Club Atlético de Newell's Gary Kelly managed to reach the ball for a save. Albert Gamble tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Gary Kelly. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 76th minute. Gary Kelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Bero, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Club Atlético de Newell's Gary Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timo Werner in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Overpower FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Percival came free, but Brett Hart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The nice shot from Timo Werner in the 82ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Gary Kelly had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 86 minutes into the game, Overpower FC's Federico Bero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gary Kelly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A hard shot 96 in the game by Federico Bero from a close distance when the talented Gary Kelly managed to make a qualified save. Club Atlético de Newell's players were relieved. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Overpower FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
